This section describes the panel LEDs for Supermicro appliance platforms running Qumulo Core.

This section describes the front and rear panel LED indicators for Supermicro appliance platforms running Qumulo Core.

LED Color Codes

Most Supermicro platforms use the following standard LED color codes:

LED Color Status Meaning
Green (solid) Normal System operating normally
Green (blinking) Activity Disk/network activity
Amber/Yellow Warning Attention required
Red Critical Failure or critical error
Off Inactive Component powered off or not present

Locate Blue Drive identification (when activated)

For detailed LED descriptions, refer to the respective user manual:

Using the UID LED

The Unit Identification (UID) LED helps locate a specific server in a rack:

  1. Activate the UID LED through IPMI web interface, IPMI command line, or front panel button.
  2. The blue UID LED illuminates on both front and rear panels.
  3. Locate the server with the illuminated blue LED.
  4. Deactivate the UID LED after identification.
